The product reviews widget
The main widget on product pages — review list, summary, and submission form
The product reviews widget is the main block you add to product pages. It shows every approved review for that product, the average rating, a star breakdown, and a form for shoppers to submit their own review. It's the workhorse of the app — the one widget most stores need.
What customers see
The widget renders as a clean, bordered card with:
- Heading + summary at the top — the average rating, total count, and a Write a review button
- Rating breakdown bars showing how many reviews fell at each star (5★ through 1★)
- Review list with photos, author name, verified-purchase badge, date, and your reply (if any)
- Pagination at the bottom when there's more than a page of reviews
- Empty state when no reviews exist yet, with a CTA to be the first to review
The widget hides the submission form by default — shoppers click Write a review to expand it. This matches the pattern customers expect from major review apps.
Adding the widget
In the theme editor:
- Open a Product template
- Click Add block in the product section
- Choose Product Reviews from the Apps list
- Drag it to the right spot (typically below the description, above related products)
- Save
Photos in the list
If reviewers upload photos with their review, the photos show as small thumbnails under the review text. Click any thumbnail to open a full-size lightbox.
SEO structured data
The widget can output JSON-LD structured data so Google can show your star ratings in search results. Leave Include SEO structured data on (default) unless you have another app doing the same — duplicate markup confuses search engines.
Settings
All settings live in the theme editor on the block itself: heading text, reviews per page, default sort, whether to show the form, the rating breakdown, photos, and structured data. See Customizing the widget appearance for color and spacing options.
