Post-purchase email requests

Automatically ask customers to review their purchase after delivery

Most reviews come from customers who've already received and used the product. The post-purchase email request is the single biggest lever you have to grow your review count — it goes out automatically a few days after delivery and asks the customer to share their experience.

Turning email requests on

In the app, go to Settings > Emails and toggle Send review request emails on. You'll also pick how many days after order payment to send the email.

A good starting point is 10–14 days — enough time for the order to arrive and the customer to actually use the product. For perishables or fast-delivery items, drop it to 5–7 days. For furniture or appliances that take time to evaluate, push it to 21+ days.

What's in the email

The email is short on purpose. It shows:

  • The product(s) the customer ordered, with a small image
  • A row of stars the customer can click to start the review
  • A single big Leave a review button that opens the review form on your storefront

Clicking any star or the button takes the customer to your storefront review form, pre-filled with their info. The review is automatically tied to their order and earns the Verified Purchase badge when submitted.

Every email contains a unique, secure link with a one-time token. Because the token identifies the customer and order, no login is required — they click once and they're at the form. This is one of the highest-converting flows in the app.

If they don't review by the time you've configured a follow-up reminder, the reminder uses the same link. See Follow-up reminders for that flow.
