Follow-up reminders

Send a second email if the customer hasn't reviewed yet

Most customers don't act on the first email. A polite reminder a few days later can roughly double your review submission rate — and is gentle enough that it rarely upsets anyone. The app handles the timing and skips reminders for customers who already reviewed.

Turning reminders on

In the app, go to Settings > Emails and toggle Send follow-up reminder on. Pick how many days after the first email to send the reminder.

A common cadence is 7 days after the first email — long enough that the first one isn't fresh, short enough that the purchase is still in the customer's memory. If your first email goes 14 days after the order, the reminder lands about three weeks after delivery.

When the reminder fires

The reminder is automatically skipped if:

  • The customer already submitted a review (we don't pester reviewers)
  • The first email was never delivered (we don't pile reminders on bounces)
  • The order was refunded (we don't ask for reviews on returned items)

If none of those apply, the reminder goes out on schedule using the same secure submit link from the first email.

What's in the reminder

The reminder uses the same template style as the first email but with softer copy ("Just a friendly reminder…"). You can edit the wording in Email templates — see Editing email subject and body.

How merchants typically use this

  • One reminder is the sweet spot. Two reminders feel pushy and customers start unsubscribing.
  • If you offer a discount code for photo reviews, mention it in the reminder body — it's a strong nudge.
