Customizing the widget appearance
Match the widget to your brand — colors, borders, spacing, and form style
The review widget is designed to match any storefront. Every visible color, the star style, the form behavior, and the spacing are configurable from the theme editor — no CSS edits needed.
Where the settings live
In the theme editor, click on the Product Reviews block on a product page. The left panel shows all settings grouped by Colors, Spacing, and behavior options.
Colors
The widget exposes five color settings:
- Star color — filled portion of every star (default gold
#FFB800) - Empty star color — unfilled portion (default light gray
#D4D4D4) - Accent color — buttons, the active page in pagination, focus rings on form inputs (default near-black
#111111) - Accent text color — text on accent buttons (default white)
- Border color — the widget card outline, dividers between reviews, form input borders (default
#E5E5E5) - Widget background — the card background (default white)
- Form background — the submission form's container background (default
#FAFAFA)
Pick an accent that matches your brand's primary CTA color. The widget will use it everywhere a customer interacts (Write a review, Submit, page numbers).
Spacing
- Top margin and bottom margin — space above and below the widget card, in pixels. Tune so the widget sits comfortably between the description and the related products.
Form behavior
- Show review submission form — when off, the widget shows reviews but no Write a review button. Use this if you only collect reviews via post-purchase emails.
- Require customer login — when on, only logged-in customers see the form. Guests see a Log in to review link.
- Reviews per page — 3 to 25
- Default sort — newest first, highest rated, or lowest rated
- Show photos — toggle photo thumbnails in the list
- Show rating breakdown bars — the 5★/4★/3★/2★/1★ bar chart under the summary
- Include SEO structured data — adds JSON-LD markup so star ratings can appear in Google search results
Responsive
The widget scales for mobile automatically — padding shrinks, photo thumbnails get smaller. There are no separate mobile settings to manage.
