Review carousel for the homepage
A scrolling carousel of recent reviews — great social proof for the homepage
The review carousel is a horizontally-scrolling row of review cards you can drop onto your homepage, a landing page, or any section. It's social proof at the first scroll — useful for stores where the homepage is the main entry point.
What customers see
The carousel shows a configurable number of recent reviews as cards. Each card has:
- A review photo (if the review has one)
- Star rating
- Title and review body (truncated to a few lines)
- Author name and Verified badge
Shoppers can scroll horizontally with their finger or trackpad, or click the arrow buttons on the sides. On phones the arrows hide and shoppers swipe.
Adding the carousel
- Open the page where you want it — homepage, a custom page, or a collection
- In the theme editor, click Add section (or Add block inside a section)
- Choose Review Carousel from the Apps list
- Place it where it fits — between the hero and the featured products, or near the bottom of the homepage
- Save
Settings
- Heading and optional subtitle
- Number of reviews to show (3–20)
- Show photos — keep on for the most visual impact
- Auto-scroll — optional autoplay with a configurable interval. Pauses on hover so shoppers can read.
- Star color and empty star color
What reviews appear
The carousel pulls the most recent approved, published reviews across all products. There's no per-product filtering — it's designed as a brand-wide social proof block. If you want product-specific reviews, use the product reviews widget on the product page.
