Turn on the SEO Turbo app embed and get your first SEO audit

SEO Turbo audits every product, collection, page and blog post in your store, writes better search titles and meta descriptions with AI, finds broken links and redirects them, adds structured data (schema) for rich results, and shows you what AI assistants like ChatGPT read about your store. Setup takes a couple of minutes: turn on the app embed, and your first audit runs on its own.

Install the app

Install SEO Turbo from the Shopify App Store and open it from your Shopify admin. As soon as the app is installed, it starts your first content audit in the background. You don't need to click anything. Results usually appear within a minute or two.

Turn on the app embed

The setup guide on the home page walks you through the storefront part. The SEO Turbo app embed adds structured data to your pages and reports the pages visitors can't find. The app needs it for everything that happens on your storefront.

  1. In the setup guide, pick the theme to install on. Your live theme is selected by default.
  2. Click Activate app on theme. The theme editor opens with SEO Turbo under App embeds.
  3. Make sure the toggle is on, then click Save in the theme editor.

The app embed has no settings of its own. Everything is configured in the app, and your changes reach the storefront automatically. If you later switch to a different theme, turn the app embed on in that theme too.

Add the FAQ block (optional)

The next step adds the FAQ (SEO Turbo) block, a visible list of questions and answers with matching FAQ structured data. It's optional and part of the Pro plan and up. See FAQ Block.

Review your first SEO audit

The last step, Review your first SEO audit, takes you to SEO content. There you'll see a score for every item, the pages that need the most work, and Write with AI to get a new title and description for any of them.

After that, it's worth taking a look at:

  • Broken links - run Scan for broken links to find links that lead nowhere
  • Schema - check which structured data types are on and fill in your business details
  • AI discovery - run Check AI discovery to see what AI assistants find on your store

Finding the setup guide later

The setup guide stays on the home page until every step is done. You can open it again at any time from Settings > Installation, for example after switching themes.
