AI Rewrite Not Working

If Write with AI shows an error or is locked, the message tells you which of these it is.

"You have used this month's AI rewrites"

Every plan includes a monthly number of AI rewrites: 25 on Free, 300 on Growth, 1,500 on Pro and 6,000 on Plus. Write another version uses one too. The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month. Upgrade from Settings > Billing for more. You can still edit titles and descriptions yourself under Edit manually at any time.

"AI rewriting is temporarily unavailable"

The AI service can't be reached right now. Try again later. This doesn't use your allowance.

"The AI rewrite did not finish"

The request started but didn't complete. Try again. Rewrites that fail before a suggestion is written don't count against your allowance.

Bulk actions are locked

Writing and applying suggestions for many items at once is part of the Growth plan and up. On Free, the bulk buttons show a Growth plan badge and an Upgrade button. See Bulk Rewrite and Apply.

"Shopify did not accept the change"

The suggestion was written, but Shopify rejected it when you clicked Apply to Shopify. The message includes Shopify's reason. Common causes are an item that was deleted in Shopify since the last audit, or the app having lost access to your store. Run the content audit again and retry.
