Installation

Install and activate Multi Ship on your Shopify store

Multi Ship lets your customers ship items to multiple addresses in a single checkout. After installing, you will enable the app on your storefront so customers can see the split shipping option on your cart page.

Install from the Shopify App Store

Click "Add app" on the Multi Ship listing and approve the installation. You will be redirected to the app inside your Shopify admin.

Setup guide

On first launch, the dashboard shows a short setup guide. Pick the theme you want the app on, then follow the activation step — it opens your theme editor with Multi Ship's app embed ready to enable. The app embed is what places the split shipping option on your cart page.

Enable the app embed

In the theme editor, toggle Multi Ship on and click Save. Without this step, nothing will appear on your storefront.

Setup completes automatically

There is no confirmation button to remember. The app checks your theme and marks setup complete on its own once the embed is active. If you want to finish later, you can dismiss the guide — it comes back after a while unless setup completed in the meantime, and the rest of the app works in the meantime: you can split existing orders and create MultiShip orders from the admin before the storefront piece is enabled.

What happens next

With the embed enabled, customers shopping on your store will see a split shipping option on the cart page whenever they have two or more items. You can further customize the experience from Settings inside the app, including display mode, accent color, gift notes, and translations.

If you switch themes later, revisit the app to re-enable the embed on your new theme.
