Subscribe & Save

Recurring deliveries with an ongoing discount — the classic subscription.

Subscribe & Save is the model most shoppers recognize: they get a product delivered on a repeating schedule and save a little on every order in exchange for the commitment. It’s the best starting point for anything customers buy again and again, because it rewards them for not having to think about reordering.

When to use it

Reach for Subscribe & Save for everyday consumables — coffee, vitamins, skincare, pet food, household refills. Any product with a predictable “I’ll run out and reorder” rhythm is a natural fit. The recurring discount is the incentive that turns a repeat buyer into a subscriber.

How the discount works

The discount applies to every order for as long as the subscription is active. You can set it as:

  • A percentage off each order (for example, 10% off).

  • A fixed amount off each order.

  • A fixed price the customer pays each time.

The savings are shown on the product page so shoppers can see the benefit of subscribing before they commit.

Example setups

  • Monthly refill - Delivered every month, 10% off every order.

  • Every two weeks - A shorter cadence for fast-moving products, with a smaller discount.

  • Choice of cadence - Offer both “every month” and “every 2 weeks” on the same option and let the customer pick.

Going further

You can add a bigger discount on the first order to attract new subscribers (see “Charging a different price for the first orders”), offer several delivery frequencies, or set a minimum commitment if you want subscribers to stay for a few orders.
