A discount is the most common reason a shopper subscribes — it rewards them for committing to repeat orders. But not every subscription needs one. The app lets you offer an ongoing discount on each option, or turn the discount off entirely for a plain, full-price subscription.
Turning the discount on or off
Each purchase option has an Offer a discount switch. Leave it off and the subscription is simply a recurring full-price order — useful for memberships, replenishment, or products where convenience is the draw rather than savings. Turn it on to reveal the discount settings.
Types of discount
When the discount is on, choose how it’s applied:
Percentage - A percent off each order, like 10% off. The most common choice.
Fixed amount - A set amount off each order, like $5 off.
Fixed price - A flat price the customer pays each time, regardless of the product’s normal price.
What the customer sees
The savings appear on the product page next to the subscribe option, so shoppers can compare subscribing against a one-time purchase before they decide. A clear discount is one of the strongest nudges toward subscribing.
Going further
If you want to attract new subscribers with a stronger first-time offer — a bigger discount on the first order, or full price after an intro period — see “Charging a different price for the first orders.”
