Multi Ship appears on your cart page in one of two display modes. The display mode controls how customers activate the split shipping flow.

Checkbox mode (default)

A checkbox appears above your theme’s checkout button with a label like “Ship to multiple addresses.” When a customer checks the box, the split shipping modal opens. The original checkout button remains visible, so customers who do not need split shipping can check out normally. This mode works well for most stores because it is unobtrusive and clearly optional.

Button mode

A dedicated split shipping button appears on the cart page. Clicking the button opens the split shipping modal. This mode is more prominent and draws attention to the split shipping feature, which can be useful if multi-address shipping is a key selling point for your store.

When to use checkbox mode

Choose this if split shipping is a secondary feature for your store. The checkbox stays out of the way and lets customers opt in only when they need it.

When to use button mode

Choose this if you want to highlight split shipping as a primary feature. The button is more visible and works well for stores where customers frequently ship to multiple addresses, such as gift shops or corporate gifting stores.

Where to configure

Go to Settings > Display and select either Checkbox or Button. The change applies immediately to your storefront.
