Quantity settings control how priced option values are added to the cart. Whether an add-on should be purchased once or match the main product quantity, these settings ensure correct pricing and fulfillment.

Quantity Behaviors

Choose how the option quantity relates to the main product:

  • Add once only - The option is added once regardless of product quantity. Customer buys 3 shirts with gift wrapping? Gift wrapping is charged once.

  • Match main product quantity - The option quantity matches the product. Customer buys 3 shirts with monogramming? Monogramming is charged 3 times.

  • Fixed custom quantity - Always add a specific quantity. Useful for options that come in sets (e.g., always add 4 buttons).

  • Let customer choose quantity - Customer enters their desired quantity. Good for add-on products where customers might want multiples.

Configuring Quantity

  1. Edit an option

  2. Scroll to Quantity Settings

  3. Select the desired behavior from the dropdown

  4. For fixed quantity, enter the number

  5. Save the option

Note: Quantity features require the Growth plan or higher.

When to Use Each Setting

  • Add once only - Gift wrapping, rush shipping, setup fees, one-time services

  • Match main product - Per-item customization like engraving, monograms, protective coatings

  • Fixed quantity - Bundled add-ons, sets, or packages

  • Customer choice - Additional items customers might want in varying quantities

Show Quantity for Zero Price

When using โ€œLet customer choose quantity,โ€ you can control whether the quantity field appears for zero-price options:

  1. Enable Show Quantity for Zero Price Options

  2. Customers see the quantity field even when no additional charge applies

This is useful when quantity information is needed for fulfillment even without pricing.
