If option prices aren’t displaying correctly or calculations seem wrong, there are several things to check. Most pricing issues relate to plan requirements, configuration, or how prices are attached to values.
Prices Not Appearing
If prices don’t show next to option values:
Check your plan - Pricing features require the Growth plan or higher. Free plan users see options but cannot add prices.
Verify prices are set - Edit the option and check that prices are configured in the Pricing Settings section.
Check “Hide Prices” setting - If enabled, prices won’t display to customers (but still apply at checkout).
Confirm option type - Single-value types like text input don’t show prices the same way as dropdown or swatches.
Incorrect Price Calculations
If the total seems wrong:
Check quantity settings - Options can be set to “Add once” or “Match product quantity.” A $10 option with “Match quantity” on 3 products = $30.
Review attached products - If a value is linked to a product, it uses that product’s price. Check the linked product’s current price.
Multiple priced options - Prices are additive. If selecting multiple options with prices, all are added together.
Prices Not Applying at Checkout
If prices show on the product page but don’t apply:
Verify the selection - Ensure the customer actually selected the priced option, not just viewed it.
Check merge settings - If “Merge to Product” is enabled, the price adds to the main product rather than appearing as a separate line.
Conditional options - If the priced option uses conditional display, ensure conditions were met when added to cart.
Currency Display Issues
If prices show in the wrong format:
Check Shopify currency settings - The app uses your store’s currency configuration.
Multi-currency stores - Prices convert based on Shopify’s currency conversion rates.
Plan Upgrade
If pricing features aren’t working, you may need to upgrade:
Go to Plans in the app
Select Growth or higher
Pricing features activate immediately after upgrade
