Installation

Dressing Room lets shoppers upload a photo of themselves on a product page and see an AI-generated preview of themselves wearing that product. Installation takes a few minutes and happens in the setup guide on the app's home page.

Install the app

Install Dressing Room from the Shopify App Store and pick a plan. The Free plan includes 20 AI try-ons a month; paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. You then land on the app's home page with the setup guide open.

Complete the setup guide

• Add the Try-on button to your product pages (required) - Pick your theme, then click Add Try-on button. The theme editor opens on your product template with the Try-on button block placed. Move it near Add to cart if you like, and click Save. This is all your storefront needs.
• Turn on the "My try-ons" bar (optional, Starter plan and up) - Click Activate app embed and save the theme. A floating "My try-ons" button then lets shoppers reopen their results from any page.

The guide ticks each step on its own once your published theme shows it, and it disappears when the try-on button is live.

Try it yourself

Open a product page on your storefront, click Try it on, choose or take a clear photo of yourself, tick the consent box and click Create my try-on. The result usually appears in 15–40 seconds, next to the product, with Add to cart, Download and Generate again.
