Installation

After installing from the Shopify App Store, you need to activate the app on your theme so it can enforce quantity rules on your storefront and at checkout.

When you first open the app, a theme setup wizard walks you through activation:

• Choose your theme – Select the theme you want to activate quantity limits on. If you have multiple themes, you can repeat this for each one.
• Enable the app embed – The wizard opens your theme customizer to the App Embeds section. Toggle the Order Limits embed to On and click Save. This embed runs invisibly on every page – it does not add any visible content to your store.
• Click Complete – Back in the app, click Complete to verify the embed is active. The wizard checks that everything is connected properly.

Once the setup wizard shows a green checkmark, you are ready to create your first quantity rule.

Verifying It Works

• Go to any product page on your storefront
• Add a quantity rule for that product in the app (see Product Quantity Rules)
• Refresh the product page – you should see the quantity selector respect your new limits
• Try adding more than the maximum to the cart – the app blocks it and shows an error message

If you use multiple themes (e.g., a staging theme), repeat the setup wizard for each theme from Settings > Installation.
