A hotspot is a point you place on a gallery image that links to a product. Shoppers see a small marker on the image, tap it, and get a card with the product’s photo, name and price that takes them straight to the product page. It turns a lookbook or styled photo into something people can buy from, without you having to describe which product is which.
Hotspots belong to the image itself, not to one gallery. Place them once and they follow that image into every gallery it appears in.
Adding a hotspot
Open a gallery and hover the image you want to make shoppable. The tile’s buttons appear in the top corner — click the cart icon to open the hotspot editor.
In the editor, click anywhere on the image to drop a hotspot at that point. The panel on the right is where you say what it links to:
Product - Click Browse to search your catalogue and pick a product. The product’s name fills in as the label automatically, and you can change it.
Custom URL - Link anywhere instead: a collection, a size guide, another page on your store.
Label - What the hotspot is called. Shoppers see it on the product card, and it’s read out by screen readers.
Click Save to store it. A numbered marker stays on the image so you can see what you’ve placed.
Moving and removing hotspots
Drag any marker to reposition it — the new position saves as soon as you let go. To change or delete one, click it and the panel on the right switches to that hotspot, where Remove deletes it.
Positions are stored as a percentage of the image rather than a fixed pixel, so a hotspot stays on the same part of the picture no matter what size the image is displayed at — grid, mosaic or full-screen.
What shoppers see
Images with hotspots get a small Shop badge in the corner, so shoppers know there’s something to tap. Opening the image full-size shows the markers, gently pulsing to draw the eye.
Tapping a marker opens a product card with the product’s image, name and current price, and the whole card links to the product page. Prices come from your store live, so they are always correct and never need updating here. A hotspot pointing at a custom URL simply opens that link.
Plan availability
Creating and editing hotspots is available on the Advanced and Premium plans. Hotspots you have already created keep working and stay visible to shoppers on any plan, and you can still remove them.
Granting product access
The first time you link a hotspot to a product, the app may ask for permission to read your products. This is what lets the product search show your catalogue. Click Grant access and approve the prompt.
Until it is granted, the product search comes up empty. Custom URL hotspots work regardless, so you can always link to a product page by its address instead.
