Installing and setting up

Add the app to your store and show subscription options on your product pages.

Getting subscriptions live takes three steps: install the app, add the subscription widget to your theme, and create your first purchase option. Most stores are selling subscriptions within a few minutes, starting from one of the ready-made templates.

Install the app

Add the app from the Shopify App Store. Once it’s installed, it opens inside your Shopify admin alongside your other apps — there’s nothing to configure on your server and no code to add by hand.

Add the widget to your theme

The subscription widget is what shoppers see on a product page to choose “subscribe” instead of (or as well as) a one-time purchase. Add it from the theme editor:

  • Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize

  • Open a Product template from the page dropdown

  • Click Add block in the product section and choose the subscription widget from the Apps list

  • Save

You only need to do this once — the widget then appears on every product that has a subscription option.

Create your first option

A purchase option is the offer customers subscribe to (for example, “Subscribe & Save 10%, delivered monthly”). The fastest way to start is from a template:

  • Open the app and choose Create from a template

  • Pick the model that fits — Subscribe & Save, Subscription Only, Prepaid, or Commit & Save

  • Add the products it applies to

  • Save

Confirm it’s working

Visit one of the products you added on your storefront. You should see the subscribe option on the product page with the frequency and savings. If it doesn’t appear, see the Troubleshooting article.
