Updated over 2 weeks ago

Why Use Multiple Tags?

Common scenarios for multiple tracking destinations:

  • Agencies: Send data to both your GA4 and your client’s GA4

  • Multi-brand stores: Track data in separate properties per brand

  • Marketing teams: Share conversion data with external partners

  • Google Ads: Track conversions directly in your Google Ads account

Adding Additional GA4 Tags

To send data to another GA4 property:

  1. Open the Pasilobus Google Analytics app

  2. Find the Tag Manager section

  3. Click Add Tag

  4. Select GA4 Property

  5. Enter the Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX)

  6. Enter the API Secret for that property

  7. Click Save

The app will now send all tracked events to both your primary GA4 property and any additional tags you’ve added.

Getting Credentials for Additional Properties

Follow the same process as your primary GA4 setup:

  1. Open the GA4 property you want to add

  2. Go to Admin > Data Streams > Your web stream

  3. Copy the Measurement ID

  4. Create a new API Secret under Measurement Protocol API secrets

  5. Copy the secret value

Adding Google Ads Conversion Tags

To track conversions in Google Ads:

  1. In Tag Manager, click Add Tag

  2. Select Google Ads

  3. Enter your Conversion ID and Conversion Label from Google Ads

  4. Click Save

Finding Your Google Ads Conversion Details

  1. Go to Tools & Settings > Conversions

  2. Select or create a conversion action

  3. Click “Use Google Tag Manager” and note the Conversion ID and Label

Managing Tags

From the Tag Manager section, you can:

  • View: See all configured tags

  • Edit: Update credentials for a tag

  • Remove: Delete tags you no longer need

Changes take effect immediately for new events.

Data Sent to Additional Tags

Additional GA4 tags receive the same events as your primary property:

  • All standard ecommerce events

  • Custom events (if configured)

  • The same product and transaction data

This ensures consistent data across all your analytics properties.
