Overview of Analytics Features

Short Links provides comprehensive click tracking on paid plans:

  • Click counting - Total clicks per link

  • Time-based trends - Clicks over days, weeks, months

  • Referrer tracking - Where clicks originate

  • Dashboard metrics - At-a-glance performance indicators

  • Individual link reports - Deep dive into any link

Analytics are automatically collected whenever someone clicks your short links—no additional setup required.

Dashboard Metrics

The main dashboard shows key metrics:

  • Clicks Today - Today’s total vs yesterday (with trend indicator)

  • Clicks (7 Days) - Falls back to weekly view if no recent activity

  • Total Clicks - All-time clicks across all links

Trend badges show percentage change:

  • Green arrow up: increased clicks

  • Red arrow down: decreased clicks

  • Neutral: no significant change

Each link in your dashboard shows its total click count, helping you identify top performers at a glance.

Referrer Tracking

Referrers tell you where clicks came from—the website or app the user was on before clicking your link.

Common referrer sources:

  • Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

  • Email clients (Gmail, Outlook)

  • Other websites linking to your short URL

  • Direct traffic (no referrer, typed URL or bookmarks)

Viewing referrer data:

  1. Go to Reports

  2. Find the “Top Referrers” section

  3. See which sources drive the most clicks

Use this data to:

  • Focus on high-performing channels

  • Identify unexpected traffic sources

  • Measure campaign effectiveness by platform

Analyze clicks over different time periods using date range filters:

  1. Click on a link in your dashboard

  2. View the clickanalytics chart (last 7 days)

  3. Click “View full analytics” for detailed reports

Individual link reports include:

  • Click chart over your selected date range

  • Total clicks for the period

  • Top referrers for that specific link

  • Traffic patterns over time

Free Plan (Starter)
