Custom Triggers
Fire confetti on specific pages, buttons, forms, or scroll positions
Custom triggers are available on the Growth plan and above. They fire confetti beyond the built-in welcome and add-to-cart moments — on any page, button, form, or scroll position. Popular uses include newsletter signups, back-in-stock alerts, and landing pages.
Creating a trigger
Open Triggers from the dashboard and click Create Trigger. Each trigger has:
- Trigger Name - A label so you can recognize it later
- URL (optional) - Leave blank to run on every page, or paste a page URL to limit it
- When should confetti trigger? - The shopper action that fires the effect
- Where should it run? - Limit the trigger to a page type: all pages, home, product pages, collection pages, cart, search, content pages, or blog articles
- CSS Selector - Which element to watch (required for clicks, submits, and scroll triggers)
- Confetti effect - Any of the ten styles
Trigger types
- Page Visit - Fires as soon as the page loads
- Button Click - Fires when the shopper clicks a matching button
- Element Click - Fires when any matching element is clicked
- Form Submit - Fires when a matching form is submitted
- Scroll to Element - Fires the first time a matching element scrolls into view
Assigning effects per page type
To show a different effect on different parts of your store, create one trigger per page type — for example a Page Visit trigger on collection pages with Gold Glitter and another on product pages with Stars Shoot. Page-type, URL, and selector targeting combine, so a trigger can be as broad or as narrow as you need.
Enabling and disabling
Each trigger can be toggled on or off from the Triggers page without deleting it. Only enabled triggers run on your storefront.
