Per-Store Back-in-Stock Alerts
Let shoppers ask to hear when their own store has an item again, with Restock Alerts
When a product is out of stock at a shopper's store, Nearby Stock shows them which of your other stores have it. If you also use our Restock Alerts app, shoppers can ask to be emailed when their own store has it again, not just when it is back somewhere.
What shoppers see
- On the product page, Nearby Stock shows that the item is out at their store and names the stores that have it, with a link to check all stores.
- The Restock Alerts form on the same page picks up the store they chose in Nearby Stock and reads "Notify me when it's back at Pearl District".
- They can switch to Any store instead if they would rather hear as soon as it is back anywhere.
- If they change their store in Nearby Stock, the form follows straight away.
What happens when stock comes back
- Shoppers who asked for a specific store are emailed only when that store's stock goes above zero, with the store name in the subject and message, for example "Back in stock at Pearl District".
- Shoppers who chose any store are emailed as soon as the item is back at any location, as Restock Alerts always has.
- The waitlists are kept apart, so you can see in Restock Alerts how many people are waiting at each store.
Setting it up
- Install Restock Alerts alongside Nearby Stock and add its product page button, as described in the Restock Alerts installation guide.
- Make sure the Nearby Stock app embed is on, so the shopper's chosen store is remembered.
- There is nothing to connect or configure. Restock Alerts detects the store the shopper picked in Nearby Stock automatically.
Plans
- Per-store alerts work on every Nearby Stock plan and every Restock Alerts plan.
- Emails count toward your Restock Alerts plan's monthly alert allowance, the same as any other alert.
