Campaigns are how Back in Stock organizes demand. Every customer who signs up for a restock alert on the same product variant joins that variant’s campaign, so instead of a flat list of individual requests you see demand per product — how many people are waiting, and once you restock, how many were notified.
How a Campaign Works
A campaign starts automatically the first time a customer signs up for a product that’s out of stock. Every later signup for the same variant joins the same campaign.
When you restock the product, the alerts go out to everyone waiting and the campaign completes. Nothing to trigger manually — the app watches your inventory.
The next signup after a restock starts a fresh campaign, so each campaign represents one restock cycle and its results stay intact.
The Campaigns Page
Open Campaigns from the app navigation. Each row shows:
Product — the product and variant the campaign is for
Status — Collecting (gathering signups), Sending (restock detected, alerts going out), or Completed (alerts sent)
Waiting / Notified — how many customers are waiting, or how many were notified once the campaign completed
Started and Restocked — when the first customer signed up and when the restock happened
Use the filter buttons at the top to see only collecting or completed campaigns.
Campaign Details
Click a campaign to see everyone on it:
Subscribers — each customer’s email, signup date, and current status: Waiting, Sent, Delivered, Bounced, or Unsubscribed
Unverified — customers who signed up as guests but haven’t confirmed their email yet. Unverified customers are not emailed; they receive a verification email at signup and join the waitlist the moment they click it. Customers who are logged in to your store when they sign up are verified automatically.
Offer attached — if an offer matched this campaign’s product, it’s shown here and included in the alert email
Reading the Results
A completed campaign with a high notified count tells you which restocks converted the most waiting demand.
A collecting campaign with many waiting customers is a restock signal — those are sales waiting on inventory.
Bounced entries usually mean a mistyped email address; the customer can simply sign up again with the correct one.
