Alert Offers let you include a discount code in your back-in-stock emails. When a product restocks and a customer gets notified, they’ll also see an exclusive offer — giving them a strong reason to buy straight away instead of waiting.

Creating an Offer

Go to Alert Offers in the app menu and click Create offer. Fill in:

  • Title — an internal name for the offer, so you can identify it later (customers don’t see this).

  • Description — a short line explaining the offer, shown in the email (e.g. “Welcome back — here’s 10% off your order”).

  • Discount code — enter an existing discount code from your Shopify store. The app doesn’t create codes for you, so set up the code in Shopify first under Discounts, then paste it here.

  • Start date — when the offer becomes active. Leave blank to make it available immediately.

  • Expiry date — when the offer expires. Add a deadline to create urgency (e.g. “Offer expires in 48 hours”).

Linking an Offer to Products

Once you’ve created an offer, you can attach it to specific products. When a customer signs up for any of those products and gets notified, they’ll receive the offer in their email.

To link products to an offer, open the offer and use the Add products option to select which items it applies to.

Tips for Getting the Best Results

  • Use a real discount code — always create the code in Shopify first and test it before attaching it to an offer.

  • Set an expiry date — limited-time offers convert better than open-ended ones.

  • Keep the description short — one sentence is enough. The customer is already motivated; you just need to seal the deal.
