Overview
Translations let you customize warning messages in different languages for your store visitors. When a visitor’s browser language or Shopify market language matches a configured language, they see warnings in their language. This feature is available on the Advanced plan and higher.
Adding a Language
Open the Photolock app
Go to Translations in the navigation
Click Add Language
Select the language from the dropdown
Click Save
The new language appears in your translations list with default English text that you can customize.
Editing Warning Messages
Each language has customizable text for every warning message the app displays:
Warning | When It Shows |
Right-Click Warning | When a visitor right-clicks |
Console Warning | In the browser developer console |
Welcome Warning | When the page loads |
Screenshot Warning | When a screenshot shortcut is detected |
Focus Warning | When the browser window loses focus |
Printing Warning | When a visitor tries to print |
Mobile Warning | On mobile right-click (long press) attempts |
To edit:
Click on a language in the list
Update the message text for each warning type
Click Save
How Language Matching Works
Photolock matches the visitor’s language based on their Shopify market or browser language settings. If a matching translation exists, that language is used. Otherwise, the default English messages are shown.
Managing Languages
From the Translations page, you can:
Edit any language to update its messages
Delete languages you no longer need
