Overview
Warning Messages show alerts when visitors trigger protection features. Warnings act as a visible deterrent — letting visitors know the store is protected. Warning toggles are available on all plans.
Right-Click Warning
Shows a popup message when a visitor attempts to right-click. The message informs them that content is protected. This pairs with the Right-Click Lock to both block the action and explain why.
Console Warning
Displays a warning message in the browser’s developer console. This targets technically inclined visitors who open developer tools to inspect or extract content.
Welcome Warning
Shows a copyright protection notice when the page first loads. This proactively informs all visitors that store content is protected, before they attempt any actions.
Screenshot Warning
Shows a full-screen warning overlay when a screenshot attempt is detected via keyboard shortcuts. This is independent of the Screenshot Lock — you can show the warning without blocking the keys, or block without showing the warning.
Requires the Screenshot Lock to be enabled (Advanced plan) for the detection to work.
Focus Warning
Shows an overlay when the browser window loses focus (visitor switches to another tab or app). The overlay disappears when the visitor returns to your store. Like the Screenshot Warning, this is independent of the Focus Lock toggle.
Requires the Focus Lock to be enabled (Advanced plan) for the detection to work.
Removing Photolock Branding
By default, warning messages include a small “Protected by Photolock” branding notice. On the Growth plan and higher, you can remove this branding:
Go to Settings > Warnings
Scroll to the Branding section
Toggle on Remove Branding
Click Save
Customizing Warning Text
Warning messages can be customized in different languages through the Translations feature. See the Translations article for details.
