Add a Recently Viewed Products page to Shopify’s new customer accounts, letting logged-in customers see their complete browsing history across all devices.

What It Does

When enabled, customers see a “Recently Viewed” link in their account navigation. Clicking it shows all the products they’ve browsed, with the most recent items first.

This gives customers an easy way to find products they looked at previously, even if they were browsing on a different device.

Enabling the Extension

The customer account extension activates automatically when you install the app. To verify it’s working:

  1. Go to Settings > Customer accounts in Shopify admin

  2. Make sure you’re using the New customer accounts (not classic accounts)

  3. Under “Customizations”, you should see the extension listed

Cross-Device History

The biggest benefit is synced history. When customers are logged in:

  • Products they view on their phone appear on their desktop

  • Their complete browsing history follows them across devices

  • They never lose track of products they were interested in
