The cart activity badge shows customers how many people added a product to their cart recently. This creates urgency by showing real demand — every number comes from actual add-to-cart events on your store.
How Cart Tracking Works
When a customer adds a product to their cart, the app’s web pixel sends the event to your app. The badge counts unique add-to-cart events within a 30-minute window by default. Each customer is counted once per product, even if they add multiple quantities.
Adding the Block
Open the Theme Editor for your product page template
Click Add block in the section where you want the badge
Select Cart Activity from the app blocks
Choose an icon, adjust colors and styling
Click Save
The badge is typically placed near the add-to-cart button where it has the most impact.
Settings
Configure cart activity from Settings > Social proof widgets in the app.
Fallback — What to show when real-time cart adds are low. Options: real-time only, fall back to today’s cart adds, or fall back to recent cart adds (last 7 days).
Fallback threshold — The count below which fallback activates. Default is 2.
Auto-extend search — Automatically check wider time periods when your selected fallback has no data.
Icons
Choose from several icon styles in the theme editor:
Shopping cart — cart icon (default)
Shopping bag — bag icon
Flame — urgency flame
Trending — upward arrow
People — two figures
Dot — simple dot
No icon — text only
Customizing the Text
The badge text is managed through Settings > Translations. Labels are available for each data source (real-time, today, recent). Use {count} as a placeholder for the number.
