Listing Status

Every listing has a status that controls whether it is visible on your storefront. You can toggle a listing between Active and Draft at any time from the dashboard.

Active

An Active listing is live on your storefront. When a listing is activated:

  • The app syncs the listing data (options, products, and values) to Shopify as metafields

  • The theme block reads this data and displays the option selectors on each product page

  • Customers can browse and switch between the listing’s products

Draft

A Draft listing is not visible on your storefront. When a listing is set to Draft:

  • The app removes all listing metafields from Shopify

  • The theme block has no data to display, so no option selectors appear

  • The listing still exists in the app and can be edited

New listings start in Draft status. This lets you finish setting up options and products before making the listing visible.

Toggling Status

To change a listing’s status:

  1. Go to the dashboard

  2. Find the listing in the table

  3. Click the status badge (Active or Draft) to toggle it

The app runs a background sync to update metafields in Shopify. For listings with many products, this may take a few moments.

Syncing

When you activate a listing or save changes to an active listing, the app syncs the data to Shopify. During sync:

  • A “Syncing” indicator appears on the listing

  • The page auto-refreshes until the sync completes

  • Once finished, the listing shows as Active

If a sync takes longer than expected, try refreshing the page. For very large listings (30+ products), background processing handles the sync automatically.
