Locations Not Appearing

If your locations aren't showing on the map or in search results, check these common causes.

Check Location Visibility

Locations can be hidden from customers:

  1. Go to Locations in Store Locator

  2. Find the location that’s not appearing

  3. Check if it shows a “Hidden” badge

  4. Edit the location and set Visible to Yes

  5. Save the changes

Hidden locations are saved but don’t appear in the store locator.

Verify Coordinates Exist

Locations need latitude and longitude to appear on the map:

  1. Edit the location in Store Locator

  2. Scroll to the coordinates section

  3. Check that latitude and longitude have values

If coordinates are missing:

  • Re-enter the address and save to trigger geocoding

  • Or enter coordinates manually if you have them

Search Radius Too Small

Customers might be searching with too small a radius:

  1. Check your default search radius in Settings

  2. If locations are spread out, increase the default radius

  3. Add larger radius options to the dropdown

Customers can only find locations within their selected search radius.

Geocoding Failures

Some addresses fail to geocode (convert to coordinates):

Reasons addresses might fail:

  • New addresses not yet in mapping databases

  • PO Box addresses (not physical locations)

  • Incomplete or misspelled addresses

  • Rural addresses with limited mapping data

Solutions:

  • Enter the full, complete street address

  • Add city, state, and postal code

  • Manually enter coordinates from Google Maps

Check for Duplicate Locations

Duplicate entries might cause confusion:

  1. Go to Locations and look for similar entries

  2. Remove any duplicates

  3. Keep the location with complete information

No Locations in Region

If searching returns no results:

  • Verify you have locations in that geographic area

  • Check the search radius covers the distance to nearest location

  • Consider adding a helpful “No results” message with suggestions
