Search & Display Settings

Configure how customers find locations, including search radius, geolocation, map clustering, and distance units.

Updated this week

Distance Units

Choose between Miles and Kilometers for displaying distances in search results. This applies to both the distance shown next to each location and the search radius dropdown.

Default Map View

Configure what customers see when they first load the store locator:

  • Empty map - Customers must search to see locations

  • Geolocate nearby stores - Automatically detect the customer’s location and show nearby stores

  • Display all stores - Show every location on the map

Geolocation Display Mode

When using the Geolocate option, you can choose how many stores to show:

  • Automatic - Adjusts based on store density in the customer’s area

  • 5, 10, 20, or 50 closest stores - Shows a fixed number of nearest locations

Default Search Radius

Set the starting search radius when customers search for locations. Options range from 5 to 1000, or Unlimited to show all locations regardless of distance.

A larger radius works better if your locations are spread far apart. A smaller radius is better for dense coverage areas.

Map Marker Clustering

When customers zoom out on the map, nearby markers can be grouped into clusters to keep the view clean:

  • Cluster nearby markers (recommended) - Groups overlapping markers with a count badge

  • Always show individual markers - Every location pin is always visible

Driving Directions

When enabled, each location popup includes a “Get Directions” link. Customers are taken to Google Maps or Apple Maps depending on their device.

Driving directions are available on Premium and Advanced plans.
