Choosing a Map Provider

Store Locator supports two map providers:

  • Mapbox - Modern, customizable maps with a generous free tier

  • Google Maps - Familiar interface that customers know

Select your provider in Settings > Map Provider.

Setting Up API Keys

Both map providers require an API key to display maps.

Mapbox Setup

  1. Create a free account at mapbox.com

  2. Go to your Account page and find your default public token

  3. Copy the token and paste it in Settings > Mapbox Access Token

Mapbox includes 50,000 free map loads per month.

Google Maps Setup

  1. Create a new project or select an existing one

  2. Enable the Maps JavaScript API and Geocoding API

  3. Create an API key in Credentials

  4. Paste the key in Settings > Google Maps API Key

Remember to restrict your API key to your store’s domain for security.

Default Map View

Configure the initial map view when customers first load the store locator:

  • Default Center - The starting center point of the map

  • Default Zoom - How zoomed in the map starts (1-20)

  • Auto-fit to Locations - Automatically adjust the view to show all locations

  • Dark

  • Streets

  • Outdoors

  • Satellite
