If your wishlist button isn’t appearing, don’t worry—it’s usually a quick fix. Most issues come down to the app embed being disabled or the button block not being added to your theme.
Check the App Embed
The most common cause is the app embed being disabled:
Go to Online Store > Themes
Click Customize on your active theme
Click App embeds in the left sidebar
Look for Wishlist
Make sure the toggle is ON
Click Save
If Wishlist doesn’t appear in app embeds, try reinstalling the app.
Verify App Block Placement
Even with the embed enabled, you need app blocks on pages:
Product pages: In theme editor, select Products > Default product, look for Wishlist Button block. If missing, click Add block > Apps > Wishlist Button, then Save.
Collection pages: In theme editor, select Collections > Default collection, look for Wishlist Icon block. If missing, add it via Add block > Apps.
Theme Compatibility
Some themes may need adjustments:
Outdated themes - May not support app blocks. Update to latest version or contact us for manual integration code.
Custom themes - Check that theme uses Online Store 2.0 features, product template includes app block zones, and no JavaScript errors in browser console.
Third-party themes - Check theme documentation for app compatibility, contact theme developer, or reach out to us for CSS fixes.
Cache Clearing
Browser or CDN cache can show old versions:
Browser cache - Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
Shopify cache - Go to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit code, make a small change, save and revert
CDN cache - Log into your CDN dashboard, purge cache for your domain

If the button still doesn’t show:
Check browser console for JavaScript errors
Disable other apps temporarily to test for conflicts
Try a different browser or incognito mode
