Installation
Install YouTube Gallery from the Shopify App Store to display your YouTube videos beautifully on your store.
Install from App Store
Visit the Shopify App Store and search for “YouTube Gallery”
Click Add app
Review the permissions and click Install app
You’ll be redirected to the app dashboard
Initial Setup
After installation, complete these setup steps to activate YouTube Gallery on your store.
Step 1: Choose Your Theme
Select the theme where you want to display your video galleries:
In the app dashboard, you’ll see the Add Gallery to Your Store setup guide
From the dropdown, select your store’s active theme
Development and trial themes cannot be used for integration
Note: If you change themes later, you’ll need to reactivate the app in the new theme.
Step 2: Activate the App
Enable YouTube Gallery in your theme:
Click the Activate button to open the Shopify theme editor
In the theme editor, you’ll see the YouTube Gallery app embed
Toggle it ON to enable the app
Click Save in the theme editor
Step 3: Connect YouTube
Before you can display videos, you need to connect your YouTube account:
Go to Sources in the app navigation
Click Connect YouTube
Sign in with your Google account that has access to your YouTube channel
Select your YouTube channel or brand account when prompted
Grant the necessary permissions
Once connected, you can add channels and playlists as video sources.
Quick Start
Now that YouTube Gallery is installed, let’s create your first gallery:
After connecting YouTube, select a channel or playlist to add
Click Add Channel or Add Playlist - videos will sync automatically
You’ll be redirected to create a new gallery
Give your gallery a name and save it
Copy the Gallery ID shown on the gallery page
Add the Gallery Block to Your Theme
Open your theme editor (Online Store > Themes > Customize)
Navigate to the page where you want to display videos
Click Add section or Add block
Search for Video Gallery and add it
Paste your Gallery ID in the block settings
Configure layout options (grid or carousel)
Click Save
Your YouTube videos are now live on your store!
