Connecting YouTube
YouTube Gallery syncs videos from your YouTube channels and playlists. You need to connect at least one YouTube account to get started.
Connect Your YouTube Account
Navigate to Sources in the app
Click Connect YouTube or Add Account
Sign in with your Google account
If you have multiple Google accounts, select the one with your YouTube channel
Grant YouTube Gallery permission to read your channel and playlist data
Privacy Note: YouTube Gallery only requests read-only access. We cannot upload, edit, or delete any of your YouTube content.
Selecting Brand Accounts
If you manage a YouTube channel through a Brand Account:
During the Google sign-in process, you’ll see an account selection screen
Select the Brand Account associated with your YouTube channel
Complete the authorization
Important: Manager access to Brand Accounts doesn’t work with the YouTube API. Only channel owners can connect via API. If you’re a manager (not owner) of a Brand Account, you won’t be able to sync that channel’s videos.
Adding Channels
After connecting your YouTube account, your channels will appear automatically.
Add a Channel
Go to Sources > Add Source
Under Your Channels, find the channel you want to add
Click Add Channel
Videos will sync automatically
Your channel’s videos are now available to use in galleries.
Adding Playlists
You can also sync videos from specific playlists.
Add a Playlist
Go to Sources > Add Source
Under Your Playlists, find the playlist you want to add
Click Add Playlist
Videos from the playlist will sync automatically
Tip: Playlists are great for curating specific videos for different purposes, like product tutorials, testimonials, or featured content.
Managing Multiple Accounts
You can connect multiple YouTube accounts to access channels from different Google accounts.
Connect Another Account
Go to Sources > Add Source
At the bottom of the page, click Connect another account
Sign in with a different Google account
Channels and playlists from the new account will appear in your list
Remove a Connected Account
Go to Settings in the app
Under Connected Accounts, find the YouTube account you want to remove
Click Remove or Disconnect
Note: Removing an account will not delete your existing sources or videos. However, videos from that account will no longer sync new content.
Syncing Videos
Videos sync automatically when you add a source. You can also manually sync to get the latest videos.
Manual Sync
Go to Sources and select a source
Click the Sync button
New videos from your channel or playlist will be added
Videos are synced with their: - Title - Thumbnail image - Published date - Video ID (for playback)
