Upgrading unlocks custom short keys, expiry dates, UTM passthrough and the whole Analytics page. Billing runs through Shopify, so there is no separate payment method to set up and no invoice to handle — the charge joins your regular Shopify bill.
Getting to the plans
Every route lands on the same Shopify-hosted pricing page for this app:
From Settings - Open Settings, find the Billing section, and click Change Plan
From the Analytics page - On a free plan the page shows an upgrade banner with a View Plans button
From the create form - Custom URL and Set expiration date are greyed out with an Upgrade Plan link beside them
From Settings > UTM Passthrough - The toggle is replaced by an Upgrade to enable badge
From the home page - A dismissible banner appears once you have created links on a free plan
Choosing and approving
Because pricing is hosted by Shopify, plan selection and approval both happen on Shopify’s own page:
Pick the plan you want
Shopify shows you the charge, the amount and the billing interval
Click Approve
You are returned to the app with the new plan active
The charge starts when you approve, recurs on the interval shown, and appears on your Shopify invoice.
What changes immediately
Analytics opens - The upgrade banner is replaced by your charts and figures
The paid fields come alive - Custom URL and Set expiration date are usable on the create form
UTM passthrough becomes a toggle - Already switched on by default, so passthrough starts working straight away
Trend badges appear - The percentage comparisons on the home-page metrics
Your history is there - Clicks were recorded all along, even on the free plan, so the charts have data from before you upgraded rather than starting from zero
Existing links are untouched: same short URLs, same destinations, same click counts. Note that expiry dates can only be set while creating a link, so links you made before upgrading cannot have one added retroactively.
Managing the subscription afterwards
In the app - Settings > Billing shows your Current Plan with an Active badge, and Change Plan to move
In Shopify - Shopify Admin > Settings > Billing > App subscriptions lists every app charge, including this one
Changing or cancelling
To move between plans, use Change Plan and approve the new charge. To cancel, remove the subscription from Shopify Admin or uninstall the app.
After a cancellation:
Your links keep working - Every short URL continues to redirect
Click recording continues - Nothing stops being counted
Paid features close - Analytics returns to the upgrade banner, and the custom-key and expiry fields grey out again
Nothing is deleted - Your links, their notes and their click history all remain, and upgrading again restores access to the reports
Common questions
Is there a trial? - Check the pricing page for the current offer; trials are set there rather than in the app
Can I get a refund? - App billing is handled by Shopify, so refunds go through Shopify support
Do I lose data if I downgrade? - No. Clicks keep being recorded and the history stays; you simply cannot open the reports until you upgrade again
Will my printed links break? - No. Plan changes never affect a link’s short URL or where it points
