Updated yesterday

The Inventory page is the single source of truth for every tracked variant in your store. It’s where you go when you want to see, filter, or change inventory without running a full count or receiving session.

What You See

Each row shows one variant with:

  • Product and variant title, image, SKU, and barcode

  • On-hand — total units physically in stock across all locations

  • Available — units available for sale (on-hand minus committed)

  • Committed — units reserved for unfulfilled orders

  • Velocity — units sold per day, averaged over the last 30 days

  • Trend — rising, falling, or steady (last 7 days vs the 7 before)

  • Days of stock — how many days the current on-hand covers at current velocity

  • Status — the bucket (In Stock, Low Stock, Reorder Now, Out of Stock, Dead Stock)

  • Inventory value — on-hand × cost

Filtering

Use the filter bar to narrow the list:

  • In Stock — healthy variants with days of stock above the reorder threshold

  • Low Stock — close to the reorder point

  • Reorder Now — below the reorder point, needs a PO today

  • Out of Stock — tracked variants at 0 on-hand

  • Dead Stock — no units sold in the last 90 days

The dashboard’s KPI tiles and Stock Health bars all link here with the correct filter pre-applied.

Search and Sort

Search by product title, SKU, or barcode using the search box. Sort by any column by clicking its header — title, SKU, on-hand, velocity, days of stock, or inventory value. Both ascending and descending.

Editing On-Hand Per Location

Click any variant to open its drawer. Inside the drawer:

  • Every location is listed with its own on-hand field

  • Edit the number and save — Stock Control calls Shopify’s inventory mutation for that location only

  • Other locations are untouched

This is the fastest way to fix a one-off discrepancy without running a full count.

Manual Adjustments

The drawer also has an Adjust action for recording changes with a reason. Enter the delta (positive or negative), pick a reason code (damage, shrinkage, correction, etc.), and save. The change posts to Shopify and appears in the Adjustments Audit report. Use this whenever you want to track why stock changed, not just that it did.

Exclude from Alerts

Each variant has an Exclude from alerts toggle in the drawer. Turn it on for variants you don’t want counted in Reorder Now, Low Stock, or the weekly digest — useful for variants you’re deliberately running down, seasonal items out of season, or items you don’t actively restock.

Excluded variants still appear on the Inventory page so you can toggle them back on later.
