No YouTube Channel Found
Symptom: After connecting your Google account, no channels or playlists appear.
Possible causes: - The Google account doesn’t have a YouTube channel - You connected with the wrong Google account - You have manager access (not owner) to a Brand Account
Solutions:
Create a YouTube channel:
If your Google account doesn’t have a channel, create one at youtube.com/create_channel
After creating the channel, disconnect and reconnect in the app
Check which account you connected:
Go to Settings in the app
Look at the connected YouTube account email
Make sure it’s the account that owns your channel
Try a different account:
Click Connect another account in Sources
Sign in with the Google account that owns your YouTube channel
Brand Account Not Showing
Symptom: Your Brand Account channels don’t appear after connecting.
Cause: The YouTube API only works with channel owners, not managers.
Understanding Brand Accounts: - Brand Accounts are special YouTube accounts that can have multiple managers - Only the owner can connect via API - Managers cannot access channel data through third-party apps
Solutions:
Select the Brand Account during sign-in:
When connecting, Google shows an account selector
Choose the Brand Account directly, not your personal account
The Brand Account appears as a separate option with your channel name
Check your access level:
Go to studio.youtube.com
Click your profile icon > Switch account
If your channel shows “Manager” access, you need owner access
Get owner access:
Ask the current owner to grant you owner permissions
Or ask the owner to connect the channel themselves
Manager vs Owner: If you see “You’re a manager” when accessing YouTube Studio, you cannot connect that channel. Only the account owner can connect via the YouTube API.
Failed to Fetch Videos
Symptom: Error message when trying to sync videos from a connected source.
Possible causes: - Temporary YouTube API issues - Network connectivity problems - API quota limits
Solutions:
Wait and retry:
YouTube API occasionally has temporary issues
Wait a few minutes and try syncing again
Check your connection:
Ensure you have a stable internet connection
Try refreshing the page
Reconnect your account:
Go to Settings > Connected Accounts
Remove the YouTube account
Reconnect it fresh
Try syncing again
Permission Errors
Symptom: “Permission denied” or “Access revoked” errors.
Cause: The app’s access to your YouTube account was revoked or expired.
Solutions:
Reconnect your account:
Go to Settings in the app
Remove the connected YouTube account
Click Connect YouTube and authorize again
Check Google security settings:
Find YouTube Gallery in the list
If it’s not there or shows limited access, reconnect in the app
Grant required permissions:
When reconnecting, ensure you check all requested permissions
YouTube Gallery needs read access to view your channel and playlist data
Privacy Note: YouTube Gallery only requests read-only access. We cannot upload, edit, or delete your YouTube content.
Multiple Google Accounts
If you have multiple Google accounts and are connecting the wrong one:
Sign out of all Google accounts in your browser
Open an incognito/private window
Go to the app and click Connect YouTube
Sign in with the specific account you want to use
This ensures you connect the correct account without interference from other signed-in accounts.
