If the wishlist button isn’t showing on your product pages, follow these steps to diagnose and fix the issue.

Check the App Embed

The app embed must be enabled for wishlist functionality to work.

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize

  2. Click the App embeds icon (puzzle piece) in the left sidebar

  3. Find Wishlist in the list

  4. Make sure the toggle is ON

  5. Click Save

Check the Button Block

If you’re using the button block on product pages:

  1. In the theme editor, navigate to a product page template

  2. Look for the Wishlist button block in the page sections

  3. If missing, click Add block and select the Wishlist button from Apps

  4. Position the block where you want it

  5. Click Save

Clear Your Browser Cache

Cached versions of your theme may not show recent changes.

  1. Clear your browser cache completely

  2. Or try an incognito/private browsing window

  3. Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R)

Check Theme Compatibility

Verify you’re on the right theme

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes

  2. Confirm which theme is published (marked as “Current theme”)

  3. Make sure the app embed is enabled on that specific theme

Try a different template

Some themes have multiple product templates:

  1. In the theme editor, check which template the product uses

  2. Ensure the button block is added to that specific template

  3. Consider adding to all product templates

Check for JavaScript Errors

JavaScript errors can prevent the wishlist from loading.

  1. Open your browser’s developer tools (F12)

  2. Go to the Console tab

  3. Look for red error messages

  4. Common issues:

    • Other apps causing conflicts

    • Theme JavaScript errors

    • Missing dependencies

Check for CSS Conflicts

The button might be hidden by CSS.

  1. Open developer tools (F12)

  2. Go to the Elements tab

  3. Search for the wishlist button element

  4. Check for display: none or visibility: hidden

  5. Check for opacity: 0 or position issues

Theme-Specific Issues

Dawn Theme

Dawn is fully compatible. Ensure: - App embed is enabled - Button block is added to product sections

Vintage/Classic Themes

Older themes may need: - Manual theme integration - Contact support for assistance

Page Builder Themes

Themes with page builders (Shogun, PageFly, etc.): - May require custom placement - Check page builder settings for app blocks

Still Not Working?

If you’ve tried all the above:

  1. Contact support with:

    • Your store URL

    • Theme name and version

    • Screenshots of your settings

    • Any console errors

  2. Try a fresh theme preview:

    • Duplicate your theme

    • Enable app embed on the duplicate

    • Check if the button appears
