Common Issues
Solutions for frequently encountered problems when using Combined Listings & Swatches.
Duplicate Option Value Error
Problem: When saving a listing, you see an error about duplicate option value combinations.
Cause: Two or more products in the listing have the same values for all options. Each product must have a unique combination.
Fix: Review the option values assigned to each product and change one so that every product has a distinct combination. For example, if two products both have Color = Red and Size = Large, change one of them.
Missing Option Values
Problem: You see an error that a product is missing a value for one of the listing’s options.
Cause: Every product in a listing must have a value for every option. If the listing has Color and Size options, each product needs both a Color value and a Size value.
Fix: Open the listing editor and fill in the missing option values for the flagged products.
Products Not Appearing in the Picker
Problem: When clicking Add Products, some products do not appear in the search results.
Cause: The product picker searches your Shopify catalog. Products may not appear if they are in Draft status or not available on the Online Store sales channel.
Fix: Go to Shopify Admin > Products, ensure the product is Active and available on the Online Store channel, then try the picker again.
Sync Status Stuck
Problem: A listing shows a “Syncing” status that does not complete.
Cause: Background sync jobs occasionally stall, especially for listings with many products.
Fix:
Refresh the page after a minute
If the status is still stuck, toggle the listing to Draft, save, then set it back to Active
This triggers a fresh sync
Plan Limit Reached
Problem: You cannot create new listings and see a message about reaching your plan limit.
Cause: Each plan has a maximum number of listings. When you reach the limit, the Create button is disabled.
Fix: Either upgrade to a plan with a higher listing limit, or delete listings you no longer need to free up space. Draft listings count toward the limit.
Option Values Not Showing Colors
Problem: Color Swatch display shows plain squares without color.
Cause: The option values do not have hex color codes assigned.
Fix: Go to the Options page, open the option, and edit each value to add a hex color code (e.g. #FF0000 for red). Save the changes and the swatches will display the assigned colors.
