Available Settings

Show Customer Selection at Checkout

Controls whether the customer's selected option value appears as a line item property in the cart and checkout.

When enabled:

  • Selected values display in cart line items (e.g., "Color: Red", "Size: Large")

  • Customers can review their choices before completing purchase

  • Order details show the custom selections

  • Packing slips and order confirmations include the information

When disabled:

  • Option selections are tracked internally but not shown as properties

  • Useful for hidden options or backend-only data

Example use cases:

  • Display personalization choices: "Name: John Smith"

  • Show size or color selections

  • Display add-on services: "Gift Wrapping: Yes"

  • Show custom text or engraving details

Merge to Product

Determines whether priced options are added as separate line items or merged into the main product.

When enabled (Merged):

  • Option price is added to the main product price

  • Cart shows one line item with combined price

  • Cleaner cart appearance

  • Customer sees total product cost upfront

When disabled (Separate Line Items):

  • Each priced option appears as its own line item in cart

  • Cart shows multiple items: main product + add-ons

  • More transparency about individual costs

  • Better for tracking add-on sales

Example scenarios:

Merged (Recommended for):

  • Product variations (size, color)

  • Built-in customizations (engraving, monogram)

  • Required options that are part of the product

  • Keeping cart clean and simple

Separate (Recommended for):

  • Add-on products (warranty, accessories)

  • Optional services (gift wrap, rush shipping)

  • Items customers might want to adjust quantities for

  • Detailed price breakdowns

Display Label

Customize the property name shown in cart and checkout instead of using the option name.

Default behavior:

  • Uses the option name (e.g., option named "Color" shows as "Color: Red")

With custom label:

  • Override the display name (e.g., option named "engraving_text" shows as "Personalization: John")

Example use cases:

Internal name: customer_name → Display label: "Name"

Internal name: text_input_1 → Display label: "Special Instructions"

Internal name: add_warranty → Display label: "Protection Plan"

Internal name: size_selection → Display label: "Size"

Best practices:

  • Use display labels for better customer-facing language

  • Keep labels short and clear

  • Match your brand's tone and style

  • Leave empty to use the option name
