How to Change the Customer Portal URL

⚠️ Important: This guide applies only to legacy Shopify account installs. If your store uses new Shopify customer accounts, these settings do not apply.

By default, the customer portal is available under "/a/wishlist" (ex: mystore.com/a/wishlist), but you can customize this URL by updating settings in both Shopify and the Pasilobus Wishlist Pro app.


1️⃣ Update Shopify Proxy URL

1️⃣ Open Shopify Admin and navigate to Apps.
2️⃣ Locate Pasilobus Wishlist Pro and click "View Details".
3️⃣ Find the Customize URL section and update the endpoint.

💡 Note: Shopify only allows modifications after specific base paths:

✔️ /a
✔️ /apps
✔️ /community
✔️ /tools

You can only customize the part that follows these predefined slashes.


2️⃣ Update Customer Portal URL in App Settings

1️⃣ Open the Pasilobus Wishlist Pro dashboard.
2️⃣ Click Settings from the left sidebar.
3️⃣ Under the "Customer Portal" section, update the URL endpoint to match the Shopify proxy settings.

  • Do not enter the full URL (e.g., only enter /app/wishlist, not the full domain).
    4️⃣ Save the changes to apply the new URL.

Final Notes

  • Ensure the Shopify proxy settings and app settings match exactly for proper functionality.

  • If your store has migrated to new Shopify customer accounts, these steps are not applicable as Shopify manages customer accounts differently.
