Expanding your store's accessibility through translations and localization allows you to reach a global audience and provide a seamless user experience across different languages. The Pasilobus Wishlist Pro app supports multiple languages, ensuring that customers can interact with their wishlists in their preferred language.
How Translations Work in Pasilobus Wishlist
To display wishlist content in different languages, translations must be:
✔️ Defined in Pasilobus Wishlist Pro settings
✔️ Enabled in Shopify’s language settings
If a language is not enabled in both places, it will not be displayed on the storefront. Once configured, the app automatically detects the customer’s preferred language and presents the wishlist in that language.
Managing Translations in Pasilobus Wishlist
1️⃣ Adding New Languages
Expanding your store’s language support is simple. To add a new language:
Open the Pasilobus Wishlist app.
Navigate to Settings.
Find Translations and click the "Manage" button.
Select the language you want to add.
Save the settings to enable the new language.
💡 Pre-Translated Defaults: When a new language is added, all system-generated text (such as button labels, notifications, and default messages) is automatically translated. You can modify these translations if needed.
2️⃣ Editing Translations
You can customize and localize the app’s content to better fit your store’s needs.
To edit translations, go to Translation Settings and select the language you want to modify.
Update any text fields, such as buttons, messages, and instructions.
Save changes, and the new translations will be reflected in the app.
Example: If you want to change the "Add to List" button text in English, simply navigate to English in the translation settings and modify the text.
