Assistant is the automation technology that powers our bots. It helps marketing and support teams focus on the work only humans can do by automating simple tasks at scale.
- Scheduler Bot - automatically finds available time slots and schedules posts
- Writer Bot - generates post ideas from your content
- Calendar Bot - never misses an important date and adds a social post for it
In order these bots to work, you need to provide three things:
- Add a posting schedule for each social account
- Connect your content, such as your online store, blog, or music app.
- Configure special days for your business
Each of your connected social accounts will have a posting schedule. The times you pick for social accounts will become a slot in your queue.
By doing this, when you're scheduling your posts, you won't need to worry about the date and time each one should be published. All you need to do is add them to your Queue, and they'll automatically be placed into the next available time slots for each social account. Comity will automatically schedule posts to each social account based on schedules.
Setting a Posting Schedule
You can adjust Posting Schedules for a specific social account by clicking the Assistant tab, then finding Posting Schedule tab. Click the social account you want to configure.
On the next page you can edit your posting schedule.
Understanding Time zones
Each workspace has a set timezone in Comity, meaning that the timezone you pick will be used for all social accounts connected to a workspace.
If you need different time zone for an account, you can add another workspace to your Comity account and set the zone as needed. Workspaces allow you to easily group social accounts and prevents possible confusion and planning errors.
You can adjust the timezone by clicking Settings > Preferences in account menu.
Connect Your Content
Assistant can write posts for you -- we're not kidding. It does this by looking for updates in your content and finding things that are worth for sharing. Writer bot will generate posts and ask you to review them. You can add the posts to the queue with a click or customize them as you see fit.
You can connect the following apps to Assistant:

- Product Hunt
- Twitch (Beta)
To connect your content go to Settings > Integrations in the account menu.
Add Special Days
Special days are a great way to create an engaging social media presence. Followers are entertained by how social accounts treat special days. Missing a special day means giving up on engagement opportunities and possible web traffic to your content.
Assistant can remind you on special days, so you will never have to worry about missing a day to create social posts on time.
There are more than 200 special days celebrated across the world. You can use Calendar Wizard to pick the days that are important to you (Coming Soon)
Alternatively, you can add special days manually to get reminders for pretty much anything. Calendar bot will show you a reminder in the queue and send reminder notifications.
