Recurring Schedules

Recurring schedules let you show an announcement bar only on specific days of the week and optionally during certain hours. Instead of setting a single start and end date, the bar automatically turns on and off each week based on your schedule.

When to Use Recurring Schedules

Recurring schedules are useful when your announcement applies to a repeating pattern rather than a one-time event:

  • Weekend sales – Show a bar every Friday through Sunday

  • Happy hour promotions – Display during specific hours on weekdays

  • Business hours – Show a “We’re open” or “Live chat available” bar during store hours

Setting Up a Recurring Schedule

  1. Open the announcement editor.

  2. In the Schedule section, select Recurring days & times.

  3. Click the days you want the bar to appear (Sun through Sat). Selected days are highlighted.

  4. Optionally set a time window by entering start and end times. If left blank, the bar shows all day on the selected days.

  5. Save the announcement.

How It Works

  • The bar checks the current day and time against your schedule using your account timezone.

  • On selected days (and within the time window if set), the bar is visible to visitors.

  • Outside the schedule, the bar is hidden automatically.

  • The schedule repeats every week until you change or remove it.

Combining with Start and End Dates

You can use either a recurring schedule or start/end dates, but not both at the same time. If you need a recurring bar that only runs during a specific period (e.g., every weekend in December), set the recurring schedule and manually deactivate it when the period ends.

Tip: Recurring schedules are available on Growth plans and above.
