Every store has its own voice. Whether you’re localizing for international customers or simply prefer different terminology, translations let you customize every text string to match your brand and audience.

Accessing Translations

  1. Go to Settings in the app

  2. Click Translations

  3. Select your language from the dropdown

  4. Edit any text strings

  5. Click Save

Changes apply immediately to your storefront.

Supported Languages

Product Options includes translations for:

  • English (default)

  • Spanish

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Portuguese

  • Dutch

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Chinese (Simplified & Traditional)

  • And many more…

Your store’s primary language is detected automatically from Shopify settings.

Custom Text Overrides

Even without multiple languages, you can customize text:

  1. Select your primary language in translations

  2. Find the string you want to change

  3. Enter your custom text

  4. Save

Examples:

  • Change “Required” to “Must fill in”

  • Change “Select an option” to “Choose one”

  • Change “Add to Cart” to “Buy Now”

Common Strings to Customize

  • Form labels - “Required”, “Optional”

  • Validation messages - “Please select an option”, “This field is required”

  • Button text - Any add-to-cart or action button labels

  • Placeholder text - Default text shown in empty fields

Multi-Language Stores

For stores serving multiple regions:

  1. Add each language in Shopify’s language settings

  2. Customize translations for each language in the app

  3. Customers see translations based on their language selection

The app respects Shopify’s language detection and serves the appropriate translations.
