"Previously Visited" Badge

Badge Overlay displays a "Previously Visited" badge on product images throughout your Shopify store when a customer views a product they've already seen before.

Updated this week

This helps customers quickly identify products they've browsed, improving navigation and reducing decision fatigue.

Why Use Badge Overlay?

  • Improve Navigation: Help customers quickly find products they're interested in

  • Reduce Confusion: Prevent customers from re-clicking the same products

  • Build Familiarity: Visual reminder of products they've already explored

  • Save Time: Customers can skip products they've already reviewed

  • Enhance UX: Creates a more personalized shopping experience

Where Badges Appear

The "Previously Visited" badge appears on:

  • Collection pages

  • Search results

  • Homepage product grids

  • Related product sections

  • Any product grid on your store

Important: Badges do NOT appear:

  • In the Recently Viewed widget itself (redundant)

  • On the current product page

  • In cart or checkout

Step 1: Enable the Feature

  1. Go to App Embeds → Recently ViewedBadge Overlay
